Oma is the German word for grandmother

The word Oma, in Treats from Oma’s Oven, hints at my German heritage and serves as a universal placeholder for any person that does the baking for all festivities in your family. Everybody loves the baked goods from those people and the recipes are often handed down through generations.

Cakes I offer:

Rompope, Advocate, Eierlikör, similar but not the same as Eggnog is a main ingredient in this flavorful and moist cake.

Gugelhupf

This fruit cake is almost like a big blueberry muffin. Soft vanilla batter, with a hint of cardamom and sweet blueberries topped with butter streusel for the German touch.
